Do it Now Now is an open-innovation organisation committed to the empowerment of Black people through the provision of access to opportunities for social mobility through financial inclusion, entrepreneurship.
We bring skilled talent, charities, social entrepreneurs, startup teams, social innovators, investors and philanthropists together to address social challenges, solve problems and support the development of under-represented groups and Black communities specifically.

We do this through a number of projects and initiatives that seek to identify, engage and significantly support individuals as they seek to solve problems they have experienced in their own communities. We are looking for a detail-oriented Freelance Video Editor and Subtitler to edit and subtitle our recorded training sessions, making them professional, engaging, and accessible. Each session is approximately 2 hours long, and we estimate it will take between 4-6 hours to complete editing and subtitling for each video.
This is a freelance role, in which you will be assigned one or more videos requiring editing and subtitling each month. Edited and subtitled videos are expected to be delivered within one week of assignment.
We aim to match freelancers to specific event series or programmes so they have prior awareness of schedules and themes to ensure consistency and familiarity with the content.
We are open to candidates with a range of experiences. No prior experience is required, as we will provide the necessary training to help you become proficient in the tools and processes needed for this role. What matters most is your attention to detail, organisational skills, and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
Editing Video Content
Edit raw training session footage to improve clarity, flow, and engagement.
Trim unnecessary content while retaining key information.
Add transitions, titles, and branding elements as needed.
Subtitling Videos
Create accurate and synchronised subtitles.
Proofread and edit subtitles for grammar, spelling, and readability.
Ensure subtitles are easy to read and do not obstruct visuals.
Quality Control
Review final videos for consistency and errors before submission.
Make revisions based on feedback.
Communication
Collaborate with the Learning and Programmes team to understand project goals and requirements.
Provide regular updates on progress and incorporate feedback promptly.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Strong attention to detail and excellent grammar skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Openness to training and acquiring new skills to meet our requirements.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Experience editing educational or training videos.
Familiarity with accessibility standards for subtitles.
Knowledge of video compression and export optimisation.
Availability for ongoing weekly work when a time-bound Learning Programme is assigned as a project.

The freelancer will retain responsibility for their own tax obligations, National Insurance contributions, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations as per their independent contractor status.
DiNN will not direct or control how the freelancer delivers their work, beyond agreeing on the required outcomes, ensuring alignment with the terms of the contract and project objectives. This relationship is strictly that of a service provider and client.
